Bank IFSC Code Finder

IFSC or we can say Indian Financial System Code usually you can see on your bank's chequebook page, on your passbook, and your bank account statements. This 11 alphanumeric code helps to find the information about the banks and every bank has its own unique IFSC.

Structure of IFSC

The IFSC (Ex. SBIN0001234) is made with an 11-character combination of alphabets and numbers. In this code, the first four characters (SBIN) represent the bank name. The fifth character is 0 (zero), it is fixed and reserved for future use. The last six characters (001234) may be numbers (most probably numbers) or maybe alphabetic, representing the branch info.

Use of IFSC

The IFSC is used for online fund transfers using the RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer), and (IMPS Immediate Payment Service) systems in bank accounts in India. This number is required for every money transaction from one bank to another. If you are willing to receive funds from someone, you need to share only your bank account number, and IFSC to receive the money.
